As I was researching organisations to support through contributions from sales of prancingpixel merchandise, I wanted to find a diverse group of charities that were working both locally and globally to preserve both bees and butterflies, and any other invertebrates that help pollinate flowers. These pollinators have become increasingly endangered due to habitat loss, climate change, and an increasing use of pesticides.
It is a situation that must find a solution if the planet and the people in it are to survive. Just in America, there are over 4,000 native bee species and 25% of them are endangered. At least 1 of every three bites of food that you eat depend on pollinators. It is not only the flowers that will disappear if we are careless of our earth, but also the food needed to sustain life itself.
I found seven different organisations that I wished to support, and as I was unable to decide which one to support, I decided to set aside 3% of every sale I make, split that amount among the seven organisations at the end of each month, and send out a donations to each one.
You can learn more about these organisations below. Please check out their websites, their Facebook page, and their Instagram account.

The World Bee Project CIC is an independent Community Interest Company (CIC) founded in the United Kingdom in 2014. It contributes to sustainable development and supports the interdependencies between bees and people in the context of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Protecting Pollinators, People & the Planet
The World Bee Project CIC is the first independent initiative in the world that uses AI and advanced technologies to monitor pollinator and biodiversity declines from a global perspective to seek dynamic long-term solutions to benefit both nature and people, not one at the cost of the other. The data The World Bee Project generates can improve understanding of the interrelationships and interdependencies of plants and pollinators and their interactions with their bio-diverse ecosystems. It can provide new knowledge and fresh insights to fill the critical gaps in the scientific understanding of pollination and pollinator abundance, its varying relationships with different ecosystems, and its role in global food security, human well-being, and climate change. Most significantly, the data can reveal what more can be done to reduce pollination and biodiversity decline and mitigate and adapt to climate change. The evidence can also contribute to integrating best practice guidance for government policies on land management for pollinator protection and biodiversity restoration.
In parallel, The World Bee Project pioneers its social impact programme, Celebrating the Right to Life, Food and Shelter for Women in Adversity, in areas where conflict and adversity deny women the right to life, food and shelter.
